Why I Built AiToolex: From a Personal List to a Global AI Tool Directory

Hi, I’m Charlie, the creator of AiToolex.

When AI tools started exploding in popularity, I was both fascinated and overwhelmed. Every week, there seemed to be a dozen new apps claiming to “change everything.” I wanted to keep track of the ones I actually used and found helpful, so I began organizing them in a simple list for myself.

But soon, that list became too long to manage. Finding, comparing, or even remembering where I saw a good tool became a challenge. Around that time, a friend mentioned he was facing the exact same problem — there were too many great AI tools, but no easy way to explore or keep them organized.

Then one week, OpenAI launched Atlas, its new AI-powered browser — a release many said could redefine the future of browsers and online traffic. Watching such innovation unfold was incredibly inspiring. It made me realize that we, too, could build something meaningful — something that helps people navigate this fast-moving AI world.

So, we decided to bring our personal list online. That’s how AiToolex was born — a clean, user-friendly AI tool directory designed to help people discover the best AI tools, simplified.
